The Human Temple
The human body is the only vessel that is both bhog yoni and karm yoni — where past fruits are received and new spiritual destiny is forged. No other being can rise like a human soul. The hands, the intellect, the head raised toward heaven — a cosmic gift.
The Sitar Parable
A sitar player spent all his time tuning the instrument and never sang. So too, we must not spend our entire life only nourishing the body — we must sing the song of meditation, God-realization, and spiritual elevation. Nourish and sing: that is true success.
Beyond Eight Bonds
Health, food, love, home, children, in-laws, grandchildren — these are part of life, but not the final goal. The ultimate aim is to know God. The one who does not meditate is truly impoverished, says Maharishi Ved Vyas.

O Merciful God, remove the three sufferings: physical ailments, harm from others, and natural calamities. May we meditate upon You in complete bliss.

“Yato yatah samihase tato no abhayam kuru — Wherever fear arises, protect us. Grant happiness through our people and animals, so we may live without fear and worship You.”
“Mitrasyaham chakshusha sarvani bhutani samikshe — May I see all beings with a friendly eye, and may all beings see me with a friendly eye. May there be no enmity.”
The Eightfold Circle

“If a person wants downfall, they can be cheap as a handful of earth; if they seek upliftment, the world becomes too small. Nourish the body, but also sing with the sitar — pray, meditate, reach for the Infinite.”
“O God, You are free from ignorance, full of truth. Establish in me Your radiance, bravery, power, righteous anger against evil, and infinite patience — so I may worship You and be forever happy.”
“O Teacher of the whole world, lead me from falsehood to truth, from misery to bliss. May I possess noble children, beneficial animals, and the best knowledge — the cause of all happiness.”
